Miami-based shipyard Alpha Custom Yachts has introduced a 35 metre design to its Spritz range, named the Alpha Spritz 116.
The shipyard worked closely with designer Giorgio Cassetta and naval architect Laurent Giles to develop the flagship concept following the success of the first Spritz 102 Andrieka IV.
The flagship design has an impressive beam of 8.2 metres with a draft of just 1.8 metres thanks to the hull form and its lightweight composite construction.
“Everything is home-sized, which is what I love. It’s the standard you’d expect on a 45 or 50 metre yacht,” said Cassetta. Such large volumes are most clearly seen in the VIP cabins which house king-size beds and allow plenty of room for guests to move around.
Elsewhere, the full-beam master suite on the main deck has oversized windows that sit within half a metre of the waterline, connecting owners with their surroundings.
Moving outside, her foredeck hosts a spacious lounge with seating, while a 100 square metre flybridge boasts more socialising space and ample seating. The open aft deck serves as the main social area on board. The covered alfresco dining space is located forward on the aft deck and connects the outdoor beach club and the interior main salon. It is fitted with a large marble dining table and a portside wet bar. Overhead, the teak ceiling helps wick away moisture and is specially designed to include air conditioning vents, LED lighting, and a surround sound system.
The aft deck holds a hydraulically operated platform capable of supporting a tender and a large plunge pool that can serve as a dancefloor when covered with a teak top.
Another highlight is the al fresco dining area that connects the open-air beach club set-up on the aft deck with the interior main saloon. The space, shaded by the overhang of the upper deck, is fitted with a marble table, a teak ceiling, air conditioning vents, and a surround sound system.
Prospective owners will have the ability to add customisations, with autonomy over furnishings and adaptations. “The whole vision was addressing the needs of people who own the boats, rather than those of the yard,” said Cassetta.
This comes after the yard revealed its SQUALO design, a 29.6 metre semi-custom model.
